Testing facility

Diverse testing possibilities

At our testing facility in Nuth, we conduct various tests outdoors, in greenhouses, and in a fully controlled indoor environment. For example, we induce various types of stress in the plant, observe how it responds, and assess the impact on yield and quality. We also conduct tests externally at universities and institutes, such as Wageningen University & Research, Delphy and Botany in the Netherlands and Barcelona University.

Each year, we test different crops to gather as much data as possible. Some external projects are also replicated on a smaller scale in Nuth—a so-called mirror project. This way, we always have a backup test and we can check if the data is consistent.

Our intensive crop-specific field research has shown, among other things:

  • Healthier and more resistant plants
  • Firmer vegetables, fruit, and potatoes
  • Reduced disease pressure
  • Improved preservation and colouring
  • More uniform vegetables, fruit, and potatoes (e.g., less variation in size)
  • Fewer MRL and PPP molecules (Maximum Residue Limit and Plant Protection Product)

By applying the knowledge that nature provides us, we can lend her a helping hand. We provide a practical solution that demonstrably delivers results.
